“It is sex, drugs and pop music.” You can
almost hear my fake applause through the paper, Miley. After leaving her Disney
career portraying Hannah Montana, she also left most of her wardrobe in
one of the old buildings. Well, they decided to demolish themselves after being
faced with a wrecking ball. And yet, she was surprised by how her new persona
was being scrutinised worldwide. Even I don't know what possessed ABC to have
Miley perform live on new year's eve in New York. That's like asking Billy Ray
Cyrus, a country singer and proud father of Miley (oh so proud), to a live show
in a punk club. When I first heard about “Twerking”, it reminded me of that
annoying Groove Armada song from the late 90's; “I see you baby, shaking
that ass...” Secretly, I've got you singing that in your head now. Although,
you may now be thinking “Why have you reminded me of this?” That's because it
pretty much describes twerking, except twerking is more sexually suggestive and
includes giraffe-like features, ie. sticking your tongue out looking like
you're trying to lick a wall on the other side of town.
