Response to Miley Cyrus Article

The path to self-discovery is an admirable one. Why would it not be? You embark on it in order to better yourself and find out your true passion. So why is Miley Cyrus getting so much hate about her new self? Well its because, as you so nicely made clear to me in your article, she is more of a liar and a hypocrite than all of the politicians in this country put together. She wants to “be herself” does she? “Doing her own thing” is she? No, if she were then the haters would be hanging there heads in disgust at stopping someone from being who they truly are inside, not commenting her video videos such things as “How did porn get on YouTube?” and “I am so mentally disturbed”. You may be sitting there smugly in your chair thinking ‘you have no proof my credibility is safe’. Wrong. All the proof needed that this new Miley is not her true self and is in fact lying for publicity and money is in your article. Throughout the entire piece you are focusing on the ‘fact’ that she is only expressing her true self, yet you let slip a quote directly from Cyrus herself where she clearly states that it’s just a “character” and a “new persona”.

But the hypocritical nonsense does not stop there. One minute she apparently doesn’t want people to think of her as a “baby” and needs to get rid of the “innocent Disney star image”. Yet in the next she is “sucking her thumb” in videos and getting her dad to fight her battles for her. To top it all off, right at the very end of your article, just to leave people with the correct impression, she refers to herself and a friend as just “two little girls”. How right she is.
